Happy National Novel Writing Month (aka NaNoWriMo) to my fellow authors.
NaNoWriMo 2019 participants have five days left to complete their task—and I hope they all make it!
What is National Novel Writing Month? Each November participants in the event try to write a 50,000 word novel during the month of November. The writing challenge began twenty years ago, growing from 21 participants to over 400,000 writers who each year take the challenge.
Personally, I have never participated in the event. In the last five years I have published a book in November or December, which means by the time November rolls around, I am in the process of getting a book out, or already writing one.
But, I love the idea of the challenge, and I urge all aspiring authors—especially those who have a book they have been wanting to write yet keep finding excuses to not write, this might be the push you need—along with the support from fellow participants.
