Presenting The Ghost Who Dream Hopped
*Loud cheers and ahhhhhhhhs*
How was that? I’ve never done a cover reveal before. At least, not an official one. I frequently see my fellow authors planning elaborate cover reveals. Well, at least they seem elaborate to me. You see, cover reveals are one of the tools in the author’s marketing toolbox. It’s one I’ve never utilized.
Why? you ask.
The publishing schedule for Haunting Danielle has generally entailed publishing a new book every 90-days. There has been at least one book that was released less than that, and several a month or two longer. But, most of the books in the series have come out about every three months, and all but two have been available for pre-order from Amazon prior to release.
The pre-orders are the reason I’ve never had an official cover reveal. You see, before a book goes live, I like to include a link to the next book in the back of the current release. This means, for example, before I publish the final file for Book 17, I need to publish the pre-order for Book 18, so I can include a link to its product page in the back of 17.
Does that make sense?
Because of that, my book covers have never received much fanfare. Normally the first time anyone sees them is when they pop up as a pre-order. And because the book that precedes it is just days away from release, it tends to get ignored, since I’d rather focus on the new, upcoming release.
But, I thought I would break with tradition and release the cover for Book 18, The Ghost Who Dream Hopped, which will be released late August, 2018. It should be available for pre-order in about 24 hours or so.
